Chris Williamson

Mr. Williamson joined the Taoyuan American School family as Principal in 2018. He earned his M.A.Ed. from Florida Atlantic University with a Major in Educational Leadership, his B.A. from Saginaw Valley State University, Majoring in Social Sciences and Minoring in Physical and Health Education and Certification from the College of Education, and has Certification for English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education from the American College of Education. He is certified in Educational Leadership and Social Science from the State of Florida. Chris has 27 years of teaching and administration experience that includes 15 years at Broward County Public Schools and the past 12 years in Taiwan. He has experience with WASC and CIS accreditation, IB MYP and DP programs, and the College Board Advanced Placement Program. He served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Chris enjoys traveling and enjoying a variety of sights, sounds, and food with his wife and son.

Vice Principal

Clint brings a wealth of academic expertise to his role, holding two master’s degrees in education. He earned a Master’s in Educational Technology from Moreland University, where he honed his skills in integrating technology into the classroom. Additionally, he obtained a Master’s of Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, enhancing his leadership capabilities within educational settings. Clint also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Winnipeg, providing him with a deep understanding of the social dynamics that shape educational experiences.

Clint’s qualifications extend to specialized educational training, including a TESOL Certificate from the Canadian Global Institute and a TEFL Certificate, equipping him with effective methodologies for supporting language acquisition among diverse student populations. As a Google Certified Educator, Clint expertly utilizes Google’s educational tools to elevate teaching and learning outcomes, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development and innovative educational practices.
