Overview

A valve that utilizes the valve stem to drive the gate to move in the vertical direction along the axis of the passage, primarily used in pipelines to cut off the medium, either in fully open or fully closed positions. Generally, gate valves are not suitable for throttling purposes. They can be used for high temperature and high-pressure applications, and are compatible with various different media.
