Overview
The opening and closing of the flow passage is controlled by the coordination between the valve disc and the valve seat. It is commonly used for cutoff and throttling purposes. The internal flow passage of the valve body is in an S-shape, causing a change in flow direction as the fluid passes through, resulting in increased resistance and therefore a decrease in fluid pressure.
